Just settling down for the evening after a busy day at work and a busy afternoon wrapping presents! Tomorrow I will be heading off to my parents.
I am really looking forward to exploring different ways we can use popcorn over the coming year. I may sound a little obsessive but that is probably because I am. I like making new flavours, creating new combinations of foods that you wouldn't normally see.
In the new year I will also be trying some of the recipes that I posted in earlier blogs and trying to make some of my own. I have the idea of lemon and honey sounds like a nice spring type flavouring for popcorn.
I hope you all have a lovely Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Me xx

Merry Christmas from Popcorn Planet
Now we are near the Christmas holidays I have been looking at Christmas Popcorn! What better way to spend the Christmas holidays watching a movie and munching on some yummy snacks.
Because it is Christmas, popcorn deserves a Christmassy makeover. There are lots of options around and it can be fun to play around with various flavours but one of my favourites is that brought forward by Jamie Oliver.
He takes Bay leaves, orange, lemon juice and winter spices, such a cinnamon and vanila and blends them together to make a spiced sugar. It is then possible to just combine this with your popcorn for a lovely festive treat.

I also love this idea which is mixture of popcorn with other types of snacks. While the recipe has been put together for St Patricks day it certainly can be made into a Christmassy festive snack.
I have yet to make this but it looks a delicious mix of pretzels, popcorn, white chips for melting (vanilla or white chocolate), chocolate chips for melting; peanuts, M&M's.

My final mixture for the holidays comes from the same website called The Yummy Life. Looks to be a great website with lots of ideas and information. This recipe is similar as the one above but uses a different mixture of colours.
